Walter T. Wilhelm founder and principal of Walter Wilhelm Associates has 30 years of experience in the apparel, footwear and retail segments of the softgoods industry. He has owned and operated a women's fashion boutique and has held an executive position in one of the largest US menswear manufacturing and licensing operations.
Mr. Wilhelm was General Manager for the CAD/CAM group of Hughes Aircraft Company that was developing pattern grading/marking and cutting systems for the apparel/footwear industries and was a co-founder of Microdynamics, an innovative technology supplier (developer of PDM). After Gerber Technologies acquired Microdynamics, Mr. Wilhelm co-founded Wilhelm-Leslie Associates, providing product development and supply chain consulting to major retailers, manufacturers and suppliers in the softgoods industry. For three years prior to re-establishing his consulting practice, Mr. Wilhelm was president of Applied Intranet Technologies (Ai), a global pdm and Internet solutions provider.
