Ownership of a copy of the work is not the same as ownership of the copyright. This seems to be very easily understood in the context of books. I don't think anybody thinks they own the copyright to Huckleberry Finn just because they have a copy of it sitting on the shelf but it seems to have some...(Full transcript available to logged in subscribers.).
