Pearl Somboonsong is the founder of InPlace, which allows seniors to convert their house into an in-place community. While in high school, Somboonsong founded and organization called "Focus" to raise money to enable a school in Nan, Thailand to update resources and improve living conditions. She worked with the principal and founded a group that helped raise funds and she developed ways for the students themselves - both at the school in Thailand and her fellow students back in the USA - to be central to the success. Pearl Somboonsong is a pursuing her undergraduate degree at Cornell University.
