Lawrence Watkins is a young entrepreneur and owner of Great Black Speakers Bureau, an organization dedicated to helping universities and corporations find speakers for the events that they host throughout the year. Founded in January 2007, Great Black Speakers has quickly risen and has become a premier force in the speaking industry, boasting over 200 African-American speakers and over 100 university/corporate clients.

Jason Springs is currently the CEO of GeneWeave Biosciences, LLC. His company develops diagnostic devices that detect the presence and drug-resistance of disease-causing bacteria without the need for a diagnostic laboratory. The company is particularly focused on detecting so-called "superbugs" -disease-causing bacteria that are resistant or immune to standard antibiotics, as well as bacteria responsible for many hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

Kevin Menear is the Director of R&D for Mechanical Systems at MineWerks. MineWerks was founded by a team of students at RPI dedicated to the eradication of such buried explosives as landmines and roadside bombs.
MineWerks' detection technology is being developed at a time when over 2,000 people are being killed or maimed by buried landmines and other explosives each month. Competing technologies are far too expensive, time-consuming, and hazardous to personnel on the ground to be capable of addressing the worldwide threat of unexploded ordinances in a meaningful way.

Matthew Kochman is a co-founder of M.E.S.S.(Moving Every Student Safely)Express. MESS Express is a for-profit social advocacy group that combats drinking and driving among college students nationwide. Additionally, the company provides on-campus organizations a simplified, more student-oriented service in chartering social event transportation. Through the collaboration of community leaders, university officials, and transportation companies, M.E.S.S. Express is able to offer safe, reliable, and convenient student transportation.

Adam Farrell founded Silicon Solar when he was 15. It had a single product, a raw solar cell for use in educational kits, and was based in his bedroom. Today there are about 260 products, a busy Web site, sales are growing at about 10 percent annually, and the company is putting a large addition on a building it moved into last year.
Farrell owns 60 percent of the corporation. His older brother, Matt Farrell, a 24-year-old Cornell graduate, serves as vice president and owns the rest.
